Cloisonné (Hard Enamel)

Cloisonné has another name Hard Enamel, an ancient metalworking technique developed centuries ago in China during the Yuan and Ming dynasty and was world-renowned in Ching dynasty.  The hard-fired Enamel features a jewelry quality finish that is highly polished to smoothness and a brilliant luster.  Centuries later, Bridom is still practicing the fine art and applying it to our own cloisonné lapel pins.

The kiln firing of the powdered glass mixture ensures a hard and durable finish that can last for many years.  While Cloisonné lapel pins may cost slightly more, they are still popular and well worth the extra few cents.  The powdered glass mixture is provided with a limited number of colors, however, this pin style is not suitable for the colors you designate out of the limited choices.
